Products I use:

Face brushes I used (you can obviously see that they were used) from left to right: Real Techniques Face Brush (used for foundation), E.L.F. Complexion Brush, E.L.F. Blush Brush (used for bronzer), E.L.F. Blush Brush (used for blush) and the Real Techniques Brush (used for highlighter).

Again, obviously used eye brushes, left to right: Sonia Kashuk No. 205, Sonia Kashuk No.106, Mary Kay Eye Smudger Brush, and I have no clue what brand the last brush is.  I'm positive I bought it at Target and it was only like $2 or $3, but I use it for blending.

I used "Strange" from the Urban Decay Naked3 Palette.

I used "Maui Wowi" and "Oil Slick" from this Urban Decay Ammo Palette.

These are my favorite lashes, the Ardell Demi Wispies.  I also used an Ardell lash adhesive but I have mixed feelings about it...I'm still testing it out.

Black pencil liner I got in my IPSY awhile ago.

I didn't have red eye shadow so I used this tinted lip balm that I also got in my IPSY a long time ago.  I also used it for my Thor makeup look.

How I got the look:

First I primed my eyelids with my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW 20. I then used the Cailyn tinted lip balm (pictured above) in my upper crease area.  I applied it with the brush it comes with and blended it out with the Sonia Kashuk 205 brush.

I applied "Maui Wowie" from the Urban Decay Ammo Palette with the Sonia Kashuk 106 brush to my lid and my inner corner and bottom lash line.

I then put black eyeliner on my tight line and waterline.  I used "Oil Slick" from the Urban Decay Ammo Palette and the  Mary Kay Eye Smudger Brush to blend out my bottom lash line and added "Oil Slick" to my outer V. I applied a little at a time to my outer V and blended as I went.  I built up the color until I was satisfied with how dark it was.  I also used the unknown blending brush with no additional product on it to blend everything all together.

One day...I'll have a nice camera..but I actually like how this one turned out.

For my brow highlight I used "Strange" from the Urban Decay Naked3 Palette with the Sonia Kashuk 106 brush.

I applied mascara to my top and bottom lashes (L'Oreal Telescopic) along with the Ardell Demi Wispies.

For my brows I used the Anastasia Go Brow.

Bronzer: MAC Bronzing Powder "Bronze"

So these are just some of my favorite things when it comes to makeup and beauty.  There's many other things that I love and use all the time but I narrowed it down to these...and there are kind of a lot of things.  And after making this post I wish I just shared the video instead...haha..so here's the video I made and there are some links to these items below...

Urban Decay

I know some people say that these are over hyped but I looooove the Naked Palettes from Urban Decay.  I have the first and third ones and love them both!  I can't wait until I get the second one!  I also love the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray.

A few of my favorite brushes:

I use the second to the left brush everyday.

My favorite facial scrub is the Jojoba Scrub from Michael Todd.  I love that it's not as rough as proactive but also not so soft as MaryKay..does that make sense?!?

Megan's Prom Hair & Makeup

A few weeks ago I did my cousin Megan's hair and makeup for prom.  I was excited when she asked me to do it since I miss doing my sister Brooke's makeup.  Brooke and Megan are actually the same age and we call them "twin cousins" since they were born only about an hour or two apart.  Plus Megan is so pretty already and I LOVE her hair color.  Megan wanted a smokey eye without it being too dark and for her hair she wanted a half updo with curls.  She showed me a few photos she found off Pinterest and between all of them this is the hairstyle I came up with:

For her eyes I used the first Naked Palette by Urban Decay.

For Megan's hair I parted a large section that was going to be pulled back.  From that, I parted three sections, two smaller sections on the sides with one large section on the top of her head.  The two smaller sections on the side I french braided towards the back of her head.  I teased the large section on top to give it volume and pulled it back into a small hair tie.  With the two braided side sections I started to weave them back and forth over the hair tie to hide it.  I really had no plan as to what I was doing other than hiding the hair tie.  I really loved how it turned out and it actually reminds me of the Neverending Story.  For the curls I wrapped 1-inch sections around my curler.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

So I saw Captain America: The a Winter Soldier last night with Konnor, Drew and Aubrey (yay for double dates!) and overall, I enjoyed the movie a lot. I hate lines in movies where someone is fighting off the bad dudes and someone asked where they were and they say something dumb like, "I had to take a detour." Well, that did happen a few times in this movie but not as much as I thought it would. So I was very pleased about that. 

The comedy in the movie was great. I remember lol-ing pretty good a few times. 

The one part about the movie that I'm having an internal struggle with is Chin Han's character. My insides are just so torn and confused as to WHY HIM. Okay, I get WHY HIM. But still. This isn't like Captain America's slight cameo during Thor 2 (WHICH I LOVED) this is just..MARVAL AND DC CROSSOVERS ARE WEIRD. Marvel to Marvel, cool. DC to DC, do it. But Chin Han playing the same type of character in The Dark Knight and Captain America makes me anxious. I want to say I loved it but my emotions are so conflicted. The only difference between Han's characters are their names. Well, I guess his role in Captain America isn't evil since he and all the other council members seemed to be against the idea of HYDRA. But the fact that he plays a foreign Asian investor...

And I thought I would be able to put my anxiety to ease by thinking that DC and Marvel could exist in the same world but then I realized that Han died in both movies! I knew he would have two different names and I thought I could look past that and pretend all these things can crossover but they can't. 

I do love when characters and storylines connect through different movies - even if a character in one movie makes a reference to another movie they're in even though they are two COMPELTELY different movies, stories, time period, etc. (I'll insert an example here for when I think of one). But this. I can't. I just can't. I want to like it. My brain says it's okay. But my heart feels like Batman was cheated on. And we all know how I feel about Batman. I mean, my wedding date is July 18th.
