Olympus Has Fallen

A little more about Safe Haven...Two things!  First is the first time I saw the ending of the movie I got it once I heard Jo's voice.  And so the second time I saw it (with a different guy) I almost pulled out my phone so I could take a picture of his reaction.  Haha..I knew that he would be very dramatic about it and I'm sooo bummed that I didn't take a picture!!  It's funny though - I told him I was going to take a picture but had decided not to and it turns out he has a video of his sister's reaction to the end of the movie.  And you can see that here.  Second .. both guys I saw the movie with went to the bathroom at the same time(ish) in the movie.  Hmm..?

Okay but onto why we're here.  Olympus Has Fallen.

I went to dinner and a movie with a guy and I wanted to look cute and a little dressy but still casual and comfortable.  It was after I spent the afternoon snowboarding with Peytyn so I wasn't down for wearing the heels I normally wear with this outfit.  The purple on the shoes and shirt match closer than the picture shows (flash...) and my date was a fan of it!  

I got this outfit when I was working in t.b.d. at Nordstrom and the DL1961 "Cindy" jeans are super comfortable.  They're a slim boot and I like that for my Janoski's.  I feel like I wear a lot of skinny jeans (because I do) and so it's nice to mix it up and have a little bit of a flare.  I do have a few super flare jeans that I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE .. but those require heels to wear since they're so long and I wasn't down to wear that tonight.  Plus I just got these shoes the day before and wanted to show them off!

Meeting Ty Pennington & PDX Shopping

Cassie and I had some time this afternoon for some shopping so we went to Upper Playground and Compound .. along the way we met Ty Pennington at the food carts!

Spring is Here

Before I get into today's post I want to share something my friend sent me after we were done hanging out today:

I also have one other Car Flirting story another friend of mine is going to share and that one even resulted in a marriage!  You just never know sometimes.  Oh yeah, Seth's last name isn't really "Tinder" .. but I bet you can guess why it is in my phone....

Anyways, now for some pictures from today!  Motorcycles are so fun.  We went to grab lunch at Panera Bread (so yum) and got some tecky stuff at Best Buy (needed two things for my projector and one thing for my car) and then we found some horses.  And by "found" I mean he plays polo and all the roads around the barn are way fun.  

Made a vine before heading out after Best Buy.  They need to allow links on those things.  Until then you can follow me on there to check those out.

I nerded it up by wearing my backpack for all my new toys for my projector .. Later I was able to keep my phone in that small pocket you see on my arm.  I normally keep my debit card and ID in that pocket on my lazy days when I don't want to carry a purse haha.

Good thing we have so many helmets in our garage.  The extra one Seth has was a little big.

Why does this photo look so awkward (other than the fact I'm in it)?  Seth needed to open/close the gate to the barn and so I just stayed on as he did that.

But here I'm posing haha.  I srsly would love to have my own bike someday.  Just need to start small and build my confidence for it.

Speakerfy

Alright .. I was going to wait until Sunday to share the theme for next week (since I'll be doing "theme" weeks sporadically) but whatever .. let's have a little preview.  And besides .. this doesn't really go along with the week anyways since this isn't relationship related .. well .. I did meet Brady on Tinder...(miss that post?  It's right here.)  But anyways .. he asked me how I liked Speakerfy, this app that Shaq chose as one of the two winners for "Pitch Shaq" during SXSW, so here I am..trying it out for the first time!

So just that alone is way sweet.  And I will tell you that I had "issues" but those were personal problems, haha, it had nothing to do with the app.  I was so caught up with wanting to play a certain song while trying it out for the first time .. but whatevs.  I'll share that below anyways.  Enjoy the videos, check out the app and let me know what you think!  

I totes need to have a party now so I can use my "new" speakers to have more sound downstairs.  And then I can play this song super loud!  Haha.

If you want an answer to establish someone's personality within a time frame.  I would say a month if you see them regularly and talk and all that fun stuff.

Here are some more thoughts beyond what I said in the video...

Question Two:

I want to say again that someone's past is super important and I do want to know about things.  But it's okay to not start talking about those things until after the first few dates (unless it comes up, is relevant or feels like a good time).  I certainly wouldn't say go longer than a month (if you're seeing them regularly) to talk about important things like kids, divorce and other "major" things.  But I think a good guideline is date #3 to talk about those things.  There really isn't much reason to bring it up sooner since you're getting to know them and finding out if there's potential in the first place.

I mention I didn't know about my ex husband's first marriage until after a month of dating.  I found out in a "weird" way.  One friend of mine hinted that he had something to tell me at some point but it wasn't a huge deal then another friend kind of .. told me .. thinking I already knew.  I was upset at first but I wasn't going to hold it against him (at the time) because it was still early on and we were still getting to know each other.  Of course I would've rather him tell me and not my friends .. so hopefully he learned from that.  But..yeah .. I need to stop talking about that now.
